The estate is located in the west of the city of Bolzano (Bozen) in the Italian wine sector South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ). The traditional "Schwarhof" was first mentioned in 1334 for the first time. The family owns two other wineries in Tuscany called Corte Pavone and Loacker Loacker Valdifalco . The business is conducted by Franz Joseph, Rainer and Hayo Loacker. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards on loess soils with Gletscheraufschüttungen, with the red varieties Rotvernatsch, Grauvernatsch, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir, as well as with the white varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Moscato giallo, Muller-Thurgau and Silvaner is planted. The management has been increased since 2000, after Biodynamic viticulture Guidelines. When cold, heat, rain or periods of stress the vine in the form of natural, homeopathic high potencies is supported. The ground, the growth and Resistance to fungal infection can be controlled with effective microorganisms.
The selected grapes for white wines are gently pressed. Aromatic varieties are subjected to a short-mash maceration. The fermentation takes place in steel tanks and partly in barriques, followed by three to ten months, the wines stored on lees. The selected grapes for red wines are fermented mash entkämmt in principle and in steel tanks or oak barrels. Made for better color and complexity, a About Pump . Selektionierte red wines with long aging in oak barrels or less experienced no Filtration . The product range includes wines from the above varieties, mostly as DOC Santa Maddalena and South Tyrol are produced. The winery is a member of the vintners association Alto Adige Quality wine farms and Tirolensis Ars Vini.

Slightly dissolute nose, some dried yellow fruit, fairly prominent vegetal as well as lactic and volatile notes. More light lactic and volatile notes on the palate, some dried ripe yellow fruit, slightly bitter, typical of the variety, earthy traces, light tannic touch, integrated acidity, very powerful, attractive to good finish.

Needs time to mature, will improve once the nose is in balance.

Tart and smoky again on the palate, smoked meat and prominent oak, sandy, astringent tannins, fruit hidden but has some cubstance, slightly creamy, becomes a little more harmonious with aeration, develops fruit, prominent oak again on an otherwise attractive to good finish, oak simply is too dominant overall.
