The most important grape varieties
DOC for sweet white wine in the Italian region (island) Sicily . The zone includes the islands of the Aeolian Islands off the north coast (also called the Aeolian Islands). The name is derived from the largest island of Lipari. There are seven islands, however, is mainly the production of Salina and Stromboli. The wine was made from originally from Brescia painter Carlo Hauner, who in 1963 founded his winery in Salina, known and famous - he revived the ancient tradition of very successful sweet dessert wines. The wine is vinified from Malvasia di Lipari (up to 95%), Corinto and Nero (5-8%). From dried grapes, there are versions of the raisin Dolce Naturale (18% alcohol content) and Passito Liquoroso Dolce Naturale (20% vol).
