Named after the small town appeal with 180 hectares of vineyards situated in the Côte de Beaune part of Burgundy, the Côte d'Or . She was only in 1989 through the merger of three previously separate AC's Cheilly-lès-Maranges, Dezize-lès-Maranges and Sampigny-lès-Maranges. These three places share the vineyard with the Les Maranges Premier Cru Clos de la Boutière, Clos de la Fussière, Clos des Loyères, Clos des Rois, Clos Roussots, Croix Moines and Fussière. Almost exclusively red wines from Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot shares of Liebault are pressed. This can also serve as Côte de Beaune or Cote de Beaune-Villages be marketed.
