The appeal lies in the north-east of Wine Country Southwest France . The former VDQS area was classified in 1990. The vineyards cover 160 hectares of vineyards. The red wine is from the indigenous variety Servadou Fer (at least 90%), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blended. In small quantities, a rosé is produced. Well-known producers are Domaine du Cros and Domaine Laurens.
