The most important grape varieties
DOC for white wine in the Italian region of Lazio . The zone is located in the western part of the large area of Castelli Romani . The vineyards cover 1,700 hectares of vineyard in the eponymous town Marino, as well as parts of the municipality of Rome and Castel Gandolfo in the province of Roma. Through the area runs the famous Via Appia Antica. The wine is, in any combination of Trebbiano, Trebbiano Romagnolo, Trebbiano di Soave and Trebbiano Giallo (25-55%), Malvasia Bianca di Candia (60%), Malvasia del Lazio (5-45%), and other permitted white blended varieties.
