The named after the village appellation is located in central France in the wine growing region of the Loire . The vineyards with 400 acres of vineyards are located in the municipality Menetou salon and nine other surrounding places. The single variety wines are those from the east followed by AC Sancerre similar. The white wines are made from Sauvignon Blanc, the Red and rose wines from Pinot Noir. Well-known producers are Domaine de Chatenoy, Domaine Domaine Henri Gilbert and Pellé.
