The municipal area of appellation in Burgundy Côte Chalonnaise includes the municipalities of Buxy, Jully-lès-Buxy, Montagny and Saint-Vallerin. The dry white wines are vinified purely from Chardonnay varietal. If the wines of at least 11.5% alcohol content have, they must be declared as a Premier Cru.
