The area lies in the far west of the appellation Bergerac as an enclave. The vineyards cover 380 hectares of vineyards on the right bank of the Dordogne in the north of Wine Country Southwest France . The area is divided into three appellations. All three are for white wines made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscedalle that are removed from dry to sweet. The red wines are marketed under the AC Bergerac. The largest appellation, with over 300 hectares is Montravel be produced only in the only dry wines. Under the AC Côtes de Montravel are mostly semi-sweet (moelleux) and the AC skin Montravel mostly sweet (doux) produced wines. Known producer Château du Bloy, Château du Fouga, Laulerie Château, Château Masburel, le Château Mayne, Domaine Perreau, Péchaurieux Château, Château Pique Segue are, Château Puy-Servain, Château le Raz and Domaine de la Roche-Marot.
