Naturwein
Previously used word for wine (alcohol content in order to increase) could not be enriched with sugar. An attribute used for this was naturrein What has been abolished, but in connection with the German wine law in 1971. Concomitantly, a year later from the so-called "Association of German Natural wine auctioneer," the present form VDP (Association of German VDP). In Germany and Austria, the term "nature" but also "real", "pure" and "health wine" is, and not allowed with these phrases. The legislature assumes that wine in principle, a natural product and additional designations as "natural" and the like give a consumer misleading competition. In some cases, are also still wines that eschews the vinification cellar on special techniques, has been described as "natural wines". This wine has no legal significance and is not allowed on the label and in advertising. Colloquially, it refers also to an article produced under organic conditions Organic wine (Organic wine).
