The appeal lies in the French wine-growing region of the Loire . The 2002 range from Orléanais resulting VDQS former area has been classified in September 2006 as an AOC. The vineyards cover 130 hectares of vineyards in the six communities Checy, Cléry St. Andre, Mareaux-aux-Prés, les Mezieres Cléry, St. Hilaire and St. Mesmin Olivet in the Loiret on the left bank of the Loire. The resulting red wines from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Meunier. There are also the regions Coteaux du Giennois and Orleans .
