DOC area for red wines in the Italian region of Trade Marks , the classification was carried out in 2005. It includes the five municipalities Fratterosa, Frontone, pergola, San Lorenzo Serra Sant'Abbondio in the province of Pesaro. The name derives from the town of Pergola, on the hills, already in 1234 planted the vine pergola Aleatico in education and, therefore, here as Vernaccia di Pergola is known. The Rosso must be pressed by at least 70% Vernaccia di Pergola, the rest can be approved other red varieties. The alcohol content must be at least 11.5%, respectively.
