Picardan

Frequently used synonym (also Piquardan) for several French grape varieties. These are Bouchalès (Picardan Noir) Bourboulenc (Picardan), Cinsault (Picardan Noir) and Oeillade Blanche (Picardan Blanc). It could consist of individual varieties to some extent family relations. In the 17th and 18 Century there was also a very popular mostly sweet white wine from the Languedoc with this name.
