The winery "Prunotto SRL" is in the municipality of San Cassiano (Alba) in the Italian region of Piedmont . The origin is in 1923, in which Alfredo Prunotto the cooperative founded in 1904, "Vini delle Langhe" took over. There were no own vineyards, but it was purchased, the best grapes from the fields of Albese, Langhe and Monferrato and processed. This philosophy has long maintained until 1990, the first seven acres purchased their own. In 1956 the property sold Afredo Prunotto to his friend Beppe Colla. Finally, 1989 was taken over by the Empire Antinori . The vineyards now cover 44 hectares in the best locations of the following areas. The premium wines include the Barbaresco "Bric Turot", the Barbera d'Asti "Costamiòle" and "Fiulòt", "the Barolo "Bussia", the Dolcetto d'Alba "Mosesco", the Monferrato "Mompertone" (60% Barbera and 40% Syrah), and the Roero . Many of the wines are regularly in the prestigious wine guide Gambero Rosso rated highly. Every year around 800,000 bottles of wine are produced.

Very clear nose, ripe, preserved red berries, delicate hint of black berries and some wilted leaves, light spicy oak. Clear again on the palate, quite juicy and polished, moderate spicy oak, quite fine tannins, very well made in a modern style, fairly persistent and has some depth, delicate acid bite, mineral traces in the background, harmonious, very good finish, has shown a very positive development in recent months and is already very pleasant to drink.

Very full-bodied, juicy on the palate, fairly prominent oak, sugar candy and chocolate, some licorice behind this, fairly prominent oak tannins, slightly sandy and astringent, good persistence, very creamy with a delicate acid bite, astringent roasted oak on an otherwise good to very good finish. Very modern style, at the price of being a little less typical.
