Pulvermächer
Single location in the town of Stetten (range Remstal-Stuttgart) in the German region Württemberg . It was first mentioned in 1650. The name is related to the nearby quarry, were made by the "Pulvermächern" (old term for explosives expert) rock blasting. The terraced partly south to southwest oriented vineyards in 330 to 360 meters above sea level of up to 60% slope comprise 38 hectares of vineyards on Keuper weathering rock deposits with sandy loam. They are located in a sheltered valley of the Rems and surrounded the ruin Yburg. Here is cultivated mainly Riesling. Shares in a position to have such wineries Gerhard Aldinger , H. Bader , Karl Haidle , Wolfgang Haidle , and Medinger .
