The red grape variety is a variety of Refosco , and is named after the red-colored stems. In the former Yugoslavia, they are called Teran Crvene Peteljcice. The variety provides a rich, dark, acid and tannin wine with a bouquet of plums. In the DOC zones Eastern Hills of Friuli , Friuli Annia , Friuli Aquileia , Friuli Grave , Friuli Isonzo and Friuli Latisana in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia , as well as Lison-Pramaggiore in the region Veneto are pressed from the same wines.
