The wine-growing region located in the south Argentina between the Pampas and Patagonia and includes parts of the provinces of La Pampa, Neuquen and Rio Negro. With around 50,000 hectares planted apple and pear trees, the two provinces of Rio Negro and Neuquen are considered Argentine fruit chamber. The vineyards cover 5,500 hectares.
