The wine and Sektgut "Saxon State Winery Ltd. - Wackerbarth" is Radebeul German region Saxony . It was founded in August Christoph Graf von Wackerbarth (1662-1734) in 1727. This was the Elector of Saxony Frederick Augustus I (1670-1733), better known as "Augustus the Strong," which was also the most prominent customer at that time. The winery was founded in 1836 and is the third oldest in Germany. Strong emphasis is placed on optimum ripeness of the grapes with the aim of characteristic varietal wines. The average income amounts to 38-45 hl / ha.
