The same place named after the local appellation, with 145 hectares of vineyards situated in the Côte de Beaune part of Burgundy, the Cote d'Or, between the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet (see below Montrachet ). Two-thirds are red wines (Pinot Noir, with shares of Pinot Gris and Pinot Liebault) and one third white wines (Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc shares) were produced. There are about 30 to about 100 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards, which are known Castets, Charmois, Chatenière, En Remilly, Frionne des Dents de Chien and Murger. An alternative appellation for red wines only, Saint-Aubin-Cote de Beaune.
