DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region (island) Sicily . The zone includes the eponymous municipality in the province of Sambuca di Sicilia Agrigento. The varietal types Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay must contain at least 85% of each variety, the rest can be approved varieties of the same color. The varietal Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon types must contain at least 86% of jeweiliten variety, the rest can be approved varieties of the same color. Rosso and Rosato are from Nero d'Avola = Calabrese (50-75%) in any mixture Nerello Mascalese, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon (25-50%), and other permitted red varieties (15%) blended. The Rosso may be aging with one year (six months in oak barrels) and 12% alcohol content reserve call. The Bianco is made Ansonica (50-75%), Catarratto Bianco Lucido and / or Chardonnay (25-50%), and other permitted white varieties (up to 15%, except Trebbiano Toscano).
