The community-appellation for red and white wines in the southern part of the Cote de Beaune in Burgundy . It covers some 325 hectares of vines in the two communities and Santenay partially Remigny. It closes at Montrachet in. Santenay is also a famous resort with a saline mineral spring with water lithiumhaltigsten Europe. More than 95% red wines from Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Liebault be produced, and the few white wines are made from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The best Premier Crus are Beauregard (33 ha), Clos de Tavannes (26 ha), Comme La Lingerie, La Maladière (13 ha) and Les Gravières (29 ha).
