Winegrowers of the Greek islands Santorini Headquartered in the town of Pyrgos on the main island of Thira. It was founded in 1947 and comprises 2,500 members, the grapes, fava beans Fava for the traditional dish, as well as tomatoes and capers deliver. About a thousand of them are the producers. Some members vinify their grapes in the facilities of the cooperative own and market the wines with their own labels. In 1992, a modern equipped winery was put into operation. The building is built on five levels. This can be moved during the vinification process grapes, musts and wines without pumps or other mechanical stresses. It will be carried out special research projects on the improvement of cultivation methods, wine making processes and product quality. In a separate Nursery The indigenous varieties are cultivated. There are cultivated varieties of white Assyrtiko, Aidani Aspro and Aspro Athiri, and the red varieties Mandilaria, and Mavrotragano Voudomato. This is a large range of different wines, including the local specialty Vinsanto produced.

Pomaceous fruit on the nose, light nutty and herbaceous notes, mineral traces, delicate spicy oak. Elegant and juicy fruit on the palate, slightly spicy, oaky, some sugar candy and herbaceous notes, elegant acidity, fairly creamy, good persistence, has grip and substance, very harmonious, quite complex, very good finish.
