DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region (island) Sicily . The zone includes the two communities Sciacca (eponymous) and Caltabellotta in the province of Agrigento. The varietal types of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Grecanico, Insolia, Merlot and Nero d'Avola must contain at least 85% of each variety, the rest can be approved varieties of the same color. The Bianco is produced in any desired mixture of Catarratto Bianco Lucido, Chardonnay, and Grecanico Inzolia (70-100%), and other permitted white varieties (up to 30%).
