Appellation (OPAP) on the Greek island Crete , Which is named after the coastal town east of the island. Archaeological finds indicate a settlement since 1050 BC According to Diogenes Laertius (the "ton Diogenes" was another) Sitia was the home of Myson, one of the Seven Sages. It is the center of the embossed by extensive olive-growing region. The red wine is from the indigenous varieties Liatiko (80%) and Mandilaria (20%) and dry blended in different variations and also expanded sweet. The dry white wine from the indigenous species Vilana (At least 70%) and Thrapsathiri generated.
