The most important grape varieties
DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region Lazio . The area includes 15 municipalities in the province of Roma and 15 municipalities (including the eponymous Tarquinia) in the province of Viterbo. The Bianco is made from Trebbiano Toscano and / or Trebbiano Giallo (50-100%), Malvasia di Candia and / or Malvasia del Lazio (35%), and any other permitted white varieties (up to 30%) grapes. He is aged in Secco, Amabile and Abboccato and produced as a sparkling wine. Rosso (also called Novello) and Rosato of Sangiovese are blended and / or Montepulciano (60-100%), Cesanese Comune (up to 25%), and any other permitted red varieties (30%). The Rosso is aged in Secco and Amabile.
