Tolna
The vineyard is located in the central west of Hungary , southwest of Lake Balaton (Balaton). It was defined in 1998 as a wine growing area, although this has a long tradition of wine and goes back to Roman times. In the 19th Century, revived the wine totally prostrate by German settlers. There are dry summers with abundant sunshine and mild winters. The vineyards cover 2,200 hectares. The main grape varieties are Chardonnay, Kadarka , Kékfrankos (Lemberger), Olaszrizling (Riesling), Pinot Blanc, Rajnairizling (Rhine Riesling) and Rizlingszilváni (Muller-Thurgau). A famous producer is Tûzkõ Birtok.
