The appeal lies to the southwest of Wine Country Southwest France . It connects to the eastern limit of the range Madiran at. The former VDQS area was classified in 2011 as an AOP. The vineyards cover 300 hectares of vines in 41 municipalities of the departments of Landes (39) and barley (2) at the foot of the Pyrenees. Around two thirds of rosé and red wines from Tannat (30 to 40%), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Fer are generated. The white wines are made from Baroque and a maximum of 10% Sauvignon Blanc, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Claverie, Cruchinet, Raffiat, and Clairette Claret du Gers. Known producers include Château de CV and females de Tursan.
