Ursulinengarten
Single location in the town of Ahrweiler, in the German region Ahr . Within it lies the monastery school Calvary. This was 1838 after the secularization took place as early as 1803 the Franciscan monastery, founded in 1630 as the mother house of the Ursulines. From the monastery garden of the Ursulines is derived from the layer name. The west-facing steep vineyards at 100 to 180 meters above sea level consist of 24 hectares, of which only nine hectares planted. There are different types of soil ranging from loam over greywacke and loess soils to basalt. To 70% of Pinot Noir, as well as cultivated varieties Blue Portugal, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau.
