The most important grape varieties
DOC for red and white wines in the Italian region Lombardy The name means "Valley of the Calepio" (this was once the Conte Calepio possessions). The area includes 47 municipalities in Calepio Valley in the province of Bergamo. The dry Bianco is made from Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay (55-80%) and Pinot Grigio (20-45%). The sweet Moscato Passito is sorted obtained from partially dried grapes of Muscat and has an alcohol content of 17% vol. The dry Rosso is made from Merlot (40-75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25-60%). With the aging of three years and an alcohol content of 12.5 vol% should he reserve call.
