DOC for dry red wine in the Italian region Piedmont . The small area with only nine hectares includes the municipalities Almese, Borgone Susa, Bruzolo, Bussoleno, Caprie, Chianocco, Chiomonte, Condove, Exilles, Giaglione, Gravere, Mattie, Meana di Susa, Mompantero, Rubiana, San Didero, San Giorio Tues Susa, Susa and Villar Focchiardo in the Susa Valley in the province of Torino. The wine is blended in any mixture of the Avana varieties, Barbera, Dolcetto and Neretta Cuneo (60-100%), and any other permitted red varieties in the province (40%). There is also a Novello .
