DOC for dry red, rosé and white wine in the Italian region Calabria . The zone includes areas of the municipalities Grisolia, Orsomarso, San Domenico Talao, Santa Maria del Cedro and the eponymous Verbicaro in the province of Cosenza. The Bianco is made from Greco Bianco (30-100%), Malvasia Bianca (40%), Bianca Guarnaccia (30%), and possibly other permitted white varieties (up to 30%). Rosso and Rosato are from Guarnaccia Nera = Galioppo and / or Greco Nero (60-80%), in any use of the white varieties Greco Bianco, Malvasia Bianca and Guarnaccia (20-40%), and other permitted red varieties (up to 20 % blended). The Rosso must be at least 12.5% alcohol by volume content, and three years of aging, reserve call.
