The most important grape varieties

DOC for a wide range of red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region Veneto . The zone covers about 85 communities across the province of Vicenza. The varietal wines must consist of at least 85% of each variety, the rest can be approved varieties of the same color. The varietal types are Cabernet (Cabernet Franc and / or Cabernet Sauvignon), Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Garganego (from Garganega) , Merlot, Moscato (Moscato Bianco and / or Moscato Giallo), Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Raboso, Riesling (Riesling Italico and / or Riesling Renano) and Sauvignon (Sauvignon Blanc). The Bianco (also known as sparkling wine , sparkling wine and raisin ) is blended from Garganega (50-100%), and in any use of Chardonnay, Manzoni Bianco, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling Italico, Renano Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc (50%) . Rosso (also called Novello) and Rosato are Merlot (50-100%), and in any use of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Pinot Nero and Raboso Veronese (50%) were produced. Almost all of these wines are at least dry (secco) expanded. Many are also versions in as Spumante Extra Brut, Brut, Extra Dry, Dry and Demi-Sec, and partly as a sparkling wine produced. Some red wines, there is also a longer stored reserve .
