Mature nose, dried berries and prunes, cedary, earthy, herbaceous and mineral notes, undergrowth. Mature again on the palate, compact, persistent fruit, dried and preserved berries, some plums and licorice, dried herbs, old oak and some mineral notes, piquant bitter traces, very light acid bite, quite full-bodied, good backbone and structure, tannins still astringent, slightly bitter on a very good finish. Excellent sample, but there are bottle variations.

2008-10-31 (80): Plums on the nose and preserved cranberries, herbaceous notes. Uncomplicated style, fairly soft and slightly diffuse red berry fruit on the palate, vegetal notes, slightly prominent, fairly well integrated and slightly astringent tannins, not particularly deep, acceptable to attractive finish.

2008-02-04 (83): Preserved and aprtly dried red berries on the nose, cherries and plums, some apples and delicate herbaceous traces, sweetish roasted notes. Quite cool, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, prominent oak, dusty and astringent tannins, apples and oranges in the background, not particularly deep, attractive finish.

2006-11-08 (80): Mature nose with sour cherries, preserved mixed berries, sweet spices, dried flowers, orange zest, some dark chocolate and tar. Mature again on the palate, cool, restrained fruit, noticeable oak, astringent tannins and tart notes, little real substance or depth, acceptable finish. The nose promises morethan the wine can deliver.

Partly preserved and partly candied berries and cherries on the nose, undergrowth and herbs, light spicy and earthy notes. Fairly cool on the palate, slightly bitter, straightforward, crisp, dried berry fruit, light herbaceous and mineral notes, not a lot of substance, but quite compact and persistent, integrated, slightly astringent tannins, has character and structure, slightly astringent on a very good finish. Refreshing, not overwhelmed by oak, very good partner with food.

Fairly cool, polished, compact preserved red currant fruit on the palate, quite tranquil, but also refreshing, has backbone and character. integrated, slightly dusty tannins, not particularly deep, but straightforward and nicely structured, has some substance and potential, slightly astringent on a good finish.

Partly dried pomaceous fruit on the nose, hint of lemon, vegetal notes, tart nutty notes, spicy oak. Slightly creamy but also slightly bitter on the palate, nutty notes and oak, behind that some ripe pomaceous fruit and candied citrus fruit, integrated acidity, slightly astringent tannins, mineral notes in the background, attractive to good finish. Slightly angular, but is holding up better than expected.

2008-10-17 (82): Hint of apples on the nose, moderate with light floral notes. Uncomplicated style, grated green apples and preserved citrus fruit on the palate, delicate vegetal note,s well made in a modern style, integrated acidity provides backbone, pleasant to drink, attractive finish.

Cool, slightly bitter, moderate cassis fruit and preserved cranberries on the palate, earthy notes with a hint of truffles, powerful, still fairly prominent tannins, starting to integrate, has some substance and shows its origins, astringent on an otherwise good finish.

2008-02-04 (82): Cherries and preserved mixed berries on the nose, delicate floral notes and spicy oak. Quite juicy fruit on the palate, but also slightly astringent tannins, integrated spicy oak, quite persistent, good substance, some tobacco in the background, not particularly deep, slightly astringent again on an attractive to good finish.

2007-05-30 (83): Mixed berries and cherries on the nose, light vegetal notes. Juicy on the palate with prominent spicy oak, fairly creamy, sandy, rather astringent tannins, light tobacco notes, good persistence, vegetal notes, not particularly deep, attractive to good finish.

Quite lively on the palate, partly dried and partly candied yellow fruit, bitter herbaceous notes, dried citrus zests and some nutty notes, integrated acidity, has substance, has some backbone and light mineral notes, slightly bitter and brittle with some old oak on an otherwise good finish.

2007-06-25 (88): Dried figs, raisins, apple skins, oriental spices and some herbs on a surprisingly cool nose. Citrus fruit and citrus peel on the palate, more spices such as cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and coriander, some herbs and sugar candy, fairly cool with light mineral notes, good backbone and structure, bitter herbs in the background, quite firm, good finish, has character.

2006-11-22 (88): Medium intense nose, clean and concentrated with dried and candied citrus fruit, dried apricots and forest honey. Clear fruit with some vegetal notes, moderately sweet, elegant acidity, mineral notes in the background, good persistence, quite full-bodied, fairly playful and lively, medium depth and length.
