The general appellation applies to the entire area of the island of Corsica . The vineyards cover nearly 2,000 hectares of vineyards. The white wine is blended from at least 75% Vermentino and a maximum of 25% Ugni Blanc. Red and rose wines made from at least 50% Nielluccio, Sciacarello and Grenache, Cinsault this, Mourvedre, Syrah and Barbarossa, and a maximum of 20% Carignan and Vermentino. Five sub-regions are allowed to add their names, where the varietal mix is â€‹â€‹identical. That's Vin de Corse Calvi (north of Ajaccio), Vin de Corse Coteaux du Cap Corse (Northern Peninsula), Vin de Corse Figari (between SartÃ¨ne and Porto Vecchio), Vin de Corse Porto Vecchio (already 383 BC, founded the port city in the southeast) and Vin de Corse SartÃ¨ne (south of Ajaccio).
