Named after the small town appeal lies in the northeastern region of South West France in the department of Aveyron. The former VDQS area was classified in 2012 as an AOP. The wine is here on the 9th Century back, the first vineyards were of the Benedictine created by Conques. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards in the communes Coubisou, Estaing and Sébrazac on south-facing slopes with high shale content in the river valley of the Lot. The white wines are Chenin Blanc, and Mauzac Rousselou (Muscadelle) pressed. The rosé and red wines are produced from Mansoi (Fer Servadou), Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Négrette de Banhars Pinotous d'Estaing (Pinot Noir), and also Abouriou, Castets, Duras, Jurançon Mouyssagùes and Négrette . Very similar wines in the adjacent area north Vins d'Entraygues et du Fel produced.
