Regional Vin de Pays (country wine area) in central western France in the regions of Bordeaux and Southwest France . The wide range includes the four departments of Charente, Charente-Maritime, Dordogne and Gironde in the full extent, and part of Lot-et-Garonne. He was effective from the 2007 harvest. This allows the Bordeaux winemakers to produce wine country, which hitherto was not possible. The red wines and rosés are made from the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Carmenere and Côt (Malbec) produced. For white wines, the Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Muscadelle, Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Chardonnay approved.
