Weegmüller
The estate is located in the town of Neustadt (range Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing area Palatine . In the traditional family has operated for over 300 years of winemaking. After an apprenticeship with Bassermann-Jordan, an internship at the Teaching and Research Institute in Neustadt and training for technicians in the wine vineyards of parental operation in 1988 was acquired by Stefanie Weegmüller-Scherr. Ing Rainer Klein is responsible for outdoor use. They have planted more than 50% with Riesling, the remainder with the white varieties Pinot Gris, Bacchus, Kerner, Pinot Blanc, Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau and Silvaner, and the red varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir and Merlot. It is practiced consistently near-natural, environmentally friendly viticulture. The wines are both traditional in large wooden barrels, as well as built in stainless steel. This is an individual decision and depends on the particular variety and the quality of the grapes from. Are also produced flaschenvergorene sect, brandy and vinegar. The winery is a member of the vintners' associations both Pro Riesling and Vinissima .
