Unser Hausberg: Durbacher Plauelrain
The estate is located in the town of Durbach (Ortenau area) in the German region of Baden (Germany) . The family has been since the 1672 wine. Today Andreas Laible is successfully continuing with his wife Ingrid and their two sons Andrew and Alexander this long tradition. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards, including six in the best area of the renowned single vineyard Plauelrain (Durbach). They are planted with Riesling (4 ha), Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Scheurebe, Chardonnay and Muller Thurgau. It can be used over a dozen clones, including old from France and Croatia, as well as natural selection. The preservation of the grape's flavors in the wines is our top priority. Therefore, the fermentation takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks as possible with natural yeasts. The winery is a member of the VDP (Association of German VDP).
