The winery "Deutzerhof Cossmann-Hehle" lies in the municipality in the German region Mayschoß Ahr . The origin of the traditional enterprise to the 16th Century back, because already in 1574 Caspar Cossmann was with his wife Catharina mentioned as a wine maker. In 1952, Alfred Cossmann decided to market his wines produced at the time of 3.5 hectares of vineyards wines themselves. The current owner Wolfgang Hehle was a tax consultant before marrying into the family wine Cossmann and 12th in the winemaking tradition already Generation continued. Even today there are old maps marked "Deutz Mountain" for the former vineyards of the monastery. The new winery was then occupied in 1980. The vineyards include nine acres of vineyards in the single-layer mountain (Laach) Daubhaus and Forstberg (Ahrweiler) Corner (Altenahr), Castle Hill and Mönchsberg (Mayschoss) Herrenberg (Computing) Church spiers (Neuenahr), and Castle Garden (single location, Germany) and Crown land (Heimersheim). These are listed on the labels but only in part. To 75% of Pinot Noir (cultivated and the remaining varieties are Dornfelder, Riesling, Early Burgundy, Chardonnay and cultivated Blue Portugal. Cool and restrained aroma of cherries and black berries. Straightforward, dry fruit, prominent tannin, only slightly dusty, mineral note in the background, very cool style, a hint of rustic aromas, quite dry, neat finish.
