The estate is located in the village near the town Stratzing Krems in the Lower Austrian wine region Kremstal . The winemaking tradition of the family dates to the early 18th Century back. The present site was purchased in 1836 and expanded over the generations. The operation is now run by Francis and Margaret Turk. The vineyard area totals 15 hectares on loess, bedrock and conglomerate soils in the vineyards, for example, at the great mountain, Frechau, Kerschbaum, Sandpit , Thurnerberg, Wachtberg and Weinzierlberg. They are more than 85% of the white varieties Grüner Veltliner (70% of the area), Chardonnay, Riesling and Muscat, and planted to 15% with the red varieties Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is practiced semi-natural wine. The aim is to produce long-lived wines of finesse and that reflect the terroir. The white wines are in stainless steel tanks, chardonnay matured in oak barrels and store a long time on the lees. In terms of weather-appropriate age and sweet quality wines such as Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein are produced. The winery is a member of the vintners association "Kremser Convent".
