The vineyard in the Italian wine sector South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ) Consists of two locations. The company headquarters is the "Hausmannhof" above the community Salurn (Salorno) in the district of beech wood. It was founded in 1977. Later came the "Hausmairlhof" above Klausen to the Eisacktal. The operation is led by Alois and Christina Ochsenreiter. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards in the three communities Tramin (Rungg district), and Kurtatsch Salurn (valley floor). They are the white varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muller-Thurgau, Sylvaner, Riesling and Kerner, and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon planted. It is a natural, environmentally friendly certified organic vineyard on Biodynamic viticulture Principles. Quality criteria in the vineyard pruning of the vines are thorough and rigorous selection of grapes.
The wines are in the three lines Hausmannhof, Obermairlhof and Selection in the DOC designations Eisacktaler and South Tyrol produced. The white wines are fermented with the aim of fruity flavors and slowly filled until the summer of the following year. The red wines are fermented mash after open expanded into some new, some used barrels and bottled after 18 months. The Reserve Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc Selection arrive no earlier than two to three years after the harvest in the sale. It can also be generated flaschenvergorene sect with 36 to 48 months lees. The winery is a member of the vintners outside South Tyrol.

Fairly mature nose, partly dried and preserved black and red berries, some plums, toasted oak, some licorice, malt and tobacco. Very ripe and slightly jammy sweet, juicy fruit on the palate, oak and chocolate, herbaceous traces, very creamy, mature tannins, quite an easy-drinking, approachable style, not particularly deep, but very well made, more chocolate and slightly jammy notes on the finish.

Partly dried red and black fruit as well as some more black olives on the palate, earthy notes and a touch of bacon, prominent dried vegetal notes, some braised bell pepper, prominent dried herbs and spices, toasted notes, some dark chocolate, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, full-bodied, good persistence and has some depth, very good finish.

Elegant nose, very slightly artificial notes of melon and lychee, herbs and rose petals, mineral notes. Cool style, in spite of noticeably high alcohol, fairly smooth preserved yellow fruit on the palate, some melon, tea, rose wood and herbs, initially slightly tannic, then becomes more harmonious with aeration, also more deep and complex, mineral notes much more evident after 2 days, integrated acidity, has substance, long finish. We initially underrated this wine, which improved significantly over a period of 2 days.
