The winery "Karl Haidle" is in the town Kernen-Stetten (range Remstal-Stuttgart) in the German region Württemberg . Hans Haidle took over from his father in 1968 enlarged the operation and ownership of a hectare to its present size. In 1993 a new winery building was put into operation. The best parcels of vineyard located in the central and partly terraced portion of the single layer Stettener Pulvermächer, which rises directly behind the winery building. The vineyards cover 19 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Häder, Lindhälder, Mönchsberg and Pulvermächer (Stetten) Altenberg (Germany single layer) , Burghalde and Sonnenberg (Schnait) and Nonnenberg (Strümpfelbach). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (7 ha) and Kerner and Trollinger with the red varieties, Pinot Noir, Lemberger, and Zweigelt. The best Lemberger, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Zweigelt mature in barrels made of French, Swabian and Spessart oak. Are also produced flaschenvergorene sect. The winery is a member of VDP and in the forum German oak .

The wines

Hans Haidle makes little fuss about himself and his wines, which may contribute to the fact that there also other hardly ever do. An error. Very slightly sweetish yellow fruit on the palate, vegetal and earthy notes, wilted flowers, some rosewood and a little more pepper, tart mineral notes, fairly prominent acidity, fairly full-bodied and persistent, but also very polished, fairly cool style, refreshing, good grip on a very good finish.

Quite juicy on the palate, again with prominent toasted oak and dark chocolate, medium-fine tannins, dark caramel, very creamy with noticeable alcohol, but also has cool notes in the background, touch of dried citrus fruit, lactic traces, comes across as a rather heavy wine, lacking some finer details, toasted notes and chocolate on a jammy finish.
