Weingut Klaus Böhme

The company is located in the municipality in the German Kirchscheidungen region Saale-Unstrut . The farm can look back on a 300-year history. Since 1990, the farm is managed by the family again as independent farmers and winemakers in the main work. After refurbishment of the basement with modern stainless steel tanks for the year 1994, all wines are even built. The vineyards have been extended through part of the former Schulenburg's vines (the house located in Castle Burgscheidungen). The vineyards include nine acres of vineyards in Veit pit locations (Burgscheidungen) and Rappental (Dorndorf). They are planted with white varieties Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Riesling, Kerner, Traminer and Chasselas, and the red varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Portuguese and Frühburgunder. In the vineyard there is a natural management. The wines are traditionally dry, were sorted and expanded. The white wines are made pure and tannin. The red wine-making is based on the classic Maischegärverfahren. The reductive aging in stainless steel tank provides young, fresh and sparkling wines.
