Michaela and Ludwig Ehn

The estate is located in the town of Kamp in Lower Austria's wine growing region Kamp . It has been operated since 1859 in the fifth generation of the family already. Since 1990 Ludwig Ehn's Jr. for oenology (winemaking) in charge. The transfer and management by the brother and sister Michaela and Ludwig Ehn took place in 1996. It is practiced semi-natural wine. The vineyard area totals 15 hectares of vines in the vineyards Panzaun , Ms Point, Harein, Heiligenstein , Kogelberg, Loiserberg , Upper Panzaun, Seeberg and valley. They are 95% of the white varieties Grüner Veltliner (administrative centers with 7 ha), Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau) and Muscat, the rest Zweigelt with the red varieties, Blue Portugal , Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon planted. It is a nature-oriented management. The wines are made with fresh, fruity varietal. Among the variety of premium wines Grüner Veltliner and Riesling Kamptal DAC , Muscat Panzaun and Titian red wine blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir). Every year around 70,000 bottles of wine are produced. The winery is a member of the vintners' associations 11 Women & their Wines and wineries tradition Austria .

Pomaceous fruit, citrus and melon on the nose, vegetal and herbaceous notes, nutty traces. Rather smooth fruit on the palate, oak, prominent alcohol, elegant acidity, fairly persistent, but the alcohol as well as the prominent notes of freshly-cut wood dominate the picture, still tremendously young, but shows little real depth, attractive to good finish. Prognosis uncertain at this stage.

Slightly artificial fruit on the nose, elderberry and pomaceous fruit, citrus and some earthy notes. Quite juicy on the palate, slightly off-dry fruit, elegant, fairly lively acidity, earthy, vegetal and herbaceous notes, initially slightly muted, but becomes much clearer and more juicy with aeration, fairly creamy, good persistence, sweetish and some tart notes on a good finish.

Fresh nose with herbaceous and light peppery notes, stone fruit, pears and some green peppers, cool mineral notes. Fruity with good presence, more herbs, pepper and cool mineral notes, elegant juicy fruit, bone dry style, playful acidity and light tannic touch, fairly creamy, polished, not particularly deep, attractive to good finish.

Youthful nose with light boiled sweets character, herbaceous with light peppery notes, pomaceous fruit. Polished, herbaceous with lively acidity, again boiled ice sweets, mineral traces, slightly noticeable alcohol, not particularly concentrated or deep, but pleasant to drink, attractive finish.

Botrstis nose with honey and some vegetal notes, nuts, hay, candied yellow fruit and pumpkin bread. Concentrated and compact, clean fruit with notes of dried apricots, candied grapefruit and pineapple, persistent and substantial, residual sugar as with a Beerenauslese, at the same time the clear, crisp acidity and mineral notes keep the structure taut, herbs and dark bread crust, well balanced, brilliant wine with longt, delicately herbaceous finish.
