The estate is located in the municipality Krustetten in Lower Austria . It was founded in 1936 with then three acres of vines. A seasonal wine tavern is connected. On four acres of orchard and operated. The family farm is run by brothers Leopold and Martha and Stefan Mueller. The vineyard area totals 51 hectares of vines in two vineyards. This is around the mountain in the vineyards Göttweiger Gottschelle , Kogl, directing and Neubergen in Kremstal and Leukuschberg and Süssenberg in the Wachau . They are 80% of the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc and Rivaner, as well as 20% Zweigelt with the red varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rathay, Roesler, Merlot and Pinot Noir planted. The vine material comes from our own Nursery Where the best grapes are selectively propagated from their own vineyards and markets.

It is consistently near-natural, environmentally friendly viticulture for Ecology practiced (green manure) and development of natural humus soil. The quality criteria are short pruning , canopy management, thin out and late selective hand-picking in special reading boxes. The white wines are fermented after De-stemming the grapes and gentle pressing varietal wine in stainless steel tanks and temperature control. The red grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled mash tank. After gently pressing out malolactic fermentation and ripen the reds 9 to 12 months in large oak barrels or casks of Allier. Particular emphasis is placed on the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, which is also called Kremstal DAC and DAC Kremstal reserve markets. In terms of weather-appropriate years Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein are produced. In addition to producing fruit juices and spirits (fruit pomace).

Clear, elegant, juicy, creamy but also bone dry fruit on the palate, dried vegetal and peppery notes, prominent earthy and mineral notes, slightly salty, very elegant acidity, persistent, noticeable, but fairly well integrated alcohol, has some depth and good grip, improves with aeration, very good finish.

2007-04-27 (84+): Slightly sweetish berry fruit on the nose, spicy coconut and some chocolate. Medium-bodied, harmonious on the palate, soft berry notes and integrated oak, gentle tannins, not particularly deep and not a lot of substance, light touch of sweetish vanilla makes the wine approachable, well made, attractive finish.
