The winery is located in the municipality Bürgstadt in the German region Franconia . Vineyard is run by the Prince family since the 1638. In 1979, Prince Paul and Monika a new manor house in the vineyards of the situation Bürgstadter Centgrafenberg built. The total vineyard area totals almost 17 acres, of which only 11 hectares in the south Centgrafenberg. The prevailing here brownstone weathered soil is particularly well suited for the two varieties Pinot Noir and Riesling. The rest is distributed among the three individual layers of Bishop Mountain (Großheubach) Carthusian (single location, Germany) (Volkach) and Schlossberg (single location, Germany) (Klingenberg) on. There are cultivated varieties, the red Pinot Noir (7 hectares), Frühburgunder and Domination, and the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, and Gewürztraminer Rieslaner. Particular attention is given to vineyard care, it is thinning out a rigorous, thorough care and leaves a selective harvest. Some of the must is obtained with whole cluster pressing. Prince Paul stands for high quality barrique. In suitable years, ice wines are vinified. Are also produced flaschenvergorene sect and fruit brandies. The winery is a member of the VDP (Association of German VDP) and one of the five Franconian TRIAS wineries .

The wines

Prince Paul was to produce not only one of the first that started over 20 years ago so, first-class, developed in Burgundy barrels in Germany. He could also easily describe today still a pioneer.
