The estate is located in the town of Bad Kosen in the German wine-growing area Saale-Unstrut . Until 1959, the founders managed Lützkendorf two acres before his operation of an agricultural cooperative was affiliated. His son, Udo was then in the former state-owned and today's country estate Monastery Pforta 1972-1992 worked as a winemaker and director. In 1991 the family got back their vines. The founder's grandson, Uwe-validated Lützkendorf extensive investment in and construction of Neuaufrebung Gutsgebäuden. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Edelacker (Freyburg) High bone (Karsdorf) and Köppel mountain (School gate). They are planted with the white grape varieties Silvaner (35%), Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Traminer, Muller-Thurgau and Kerner, and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Portuguese and Blauer Zweigelt. It is semi-natural, environmentally-friendly wine with permanent vegetation and waiver Herbicides practiced. The maturing of the wines are very reductive in stainless steel tanks or wooden barrels. You will be expanded from a few exceptions, classically dry. The winery is a member of the VDP (Association of German VDP).
